What to Expect in Lincoln Models near New Orleans

If you haven't heard, Lincoln will no longer produce sedans after this model year. So what exactly is in store for future Lincoln models near New Orleans LA?

The discontinuation of the Lincoln MKZ at the end of 2020 was previously announced, and Lincoln recently established that it would stop production of the Lincoln Continental at the end of this year as well. Regardless of the discontinuation, Automotive News was told by a Lincoln spokeswoman that a 2021 Lincoln Continental will still be accessible for the Chinese market. Rumors of reviving the Lincoln Town Car have not been confirmed and seem to be just rumors.

Lincoln has also phased out the alphabet "names" of their vehicles by replacing the Lincoln MKC with their newest offering, the crossover SUV called the Lincoln Corsair. Along with this model, the company plans to only offer SUVs in their future Lincoln models near New Orleans LA. Entering in the compact SUV segment, the Lincoln Corsair is the smallest Lincoln at this time. Moving up the size range are the Lincoln Nautilus, Lincoln Aviator, and the Lincoln Navigator. Both the Lincoln Corsair and Lincoln Aviator are offered in plug-in hybrid versions.

Future Lincoln models near New Orleans LA Effected by COVID-19

Because of COVID-19 (coronavirus) restrictions and limitations, the 2020 model year got off to a late start. Nevertheless, both the all-new Lincoln Aviator and Lincoln Corsair are much better competitors in their segments and are expected to sell better than their predecessors.

For the 2021 model year, future Lincoln models near New Orleans LA will see only small changes in the current models. Things like paint colors and features included with trim levels will be addressed on the current lineup of SUVs and crossovers.  A Lincoln Corsair PHEV model is in the works and is expected to be added as well.

According to Ford Authority, the 2022 model year will see minor changes for the Lincoln Corsair and Lincoln Aviator. A complete redesign and reengineering of the Lincoln Nautilus is planned, in addition to adding a hybrid version of this model. The Lincoln Navigator will be due for a midcycle refresh, resulting in changes to its exterior and interior, and possibly the powertrain.  A hybrid is slated to join this model offerings as well.

The entire lineup of future Lincoln models near New Orleans LA is expected to see minor changes for the 2023 model year as well. It was anticipated that Lincoln and Rivian Automotive (an electric vehicle startup company) would develop an all-new and electric Lincoln crossover. This project has since been cancelled, and Lincoln alone is expected to develop the new vehicle.

Plans for the 2024 model year add some excitement with midcycle refreshes for both the Lincoln Aviator and Lincoln Corsair, and two new electric vehicles. One of these is expected to be about the size of the Lincoln Nautilus, which seats five, and the other is expected to fit seven, the same as the Lincoln Aviator. The larger EV, tentatively referred to as Lincoln Mark E, could actually take another year.

If everything goes according to plan, the 2025 model year should see all existing models getting minor changes.

No matter what stays the same and what changes in regard to future Lincoln offerings, it's safe to say that Lincoln is determined to capture more of the luxury SUV market. If you're ready to see Lincoln luxury up close, visit Baldwin Lincoln in Covington.
