Sparks in the Park – Covington July 1st, 2023 

Celebrate freedom at Covington's Bogue Falaya Park on Saturday, July 1st for the annual "Sparks in the Park" celebration, a fantastic free festival for all ages. Starting at 5:30 p.m., the evening will be filled with an abundance of food, fun, and music with spectacular fireworks display at dusk. Local food trucks will be on-site, serving a variety of cuisines. Additionally, the Kiwanis of Covington will be selling concessions and hosting a hot dog eating contest. The Rotary Club of Covington will keep you hydrated with lemonade and water, and the Covington Business Association will offer a selection of fine wines for purchase. 

Light Up the Lake – Mandeville July 3rd, 2023

Come out for the 9th Annual "Light Up the Lake" celebration on the Mandeville Lakefront on Monday, July 3, 2023. The City of Mandeville will illuminate Lake Pontchartrain, creating a spectacular display for all to enjoy. Families can explore the kids tent, engage in games, get their faces painted, and savor delicious food from the various food trucks available. The stage, located between Coffee and Carroll Streets, will come alive with music entertainment, starting at 6:00 p.m. As the sun sets, prepare to be amazed by a breathtaking fireworks show at 8:30 p.m. 

Abita Springs 4th of July Celebration – July 4th, 2023 

Visit Abita Springs Trailhead Park on Tuesday, July 4th, for an unforgettable 4th of July Celebration! Experience the nostalgia of classic cars at the Gulf Coast Classic Cruisers display while enjoying live music throughout the day. The festivities will be capped off with a mesmerizing firework display that will light up the night sky at approximately 9 p.m. There will be plenty of fun activities for the little ones, including face painting, ensuring a delightful time for the whole family. Please note that outside food and drinks are not allowed.

Madisonville Old Fashioned 4th of July Celebration – July 4th, 2023

Check out the "Old-Fashioned 4th of July" celebration hosted by the Town of Madisonville and Keep Madisonville Beautiful on Tuesday, July 4, 2023, located on the picturesque banks of the Tchefuncte River. Kicking off at 10 a.m., the celebration will have kids' games, cornhole, horseshoe tournaments, a pie bake off, and watermelon eating contest. They will also be holding a heartfelt Veterans' Salute to honor those who have served our country. All the action takes place on the waterfront, right in front of the historic town hall. So, bring your chairs, coolers, and picnic baskets, and claim a cozy spot along the riverfront. The fireworks are scheduled to commence at dusk, around 8:45 p.m.
